Casualties

An AP report today stated

"...insurgents seeking to wreck the vote struck polling stations with a string of suicide bombings and mortar strikes, killing at least 44 people, including nine suicide bombers."

Since when do we include the dead suicide bombers in the number of people killed by the terrorist insurgents? Who the hell cares how many suicide bombers are dead!? The only significant number that should be associated with dead suicide bombers is this - ALL OF THEM. Obviously, the AP thinks that the suicide bombers rate being counted with the innocents that are victims of the suicide bombers. So, I suppose we should count every murderer that is executed in this country with the murderer's victim or victims as a death statistic? Am I the only one that sees this as totally ridiculous? I think I have begun to see it this way: every dead suicide bomber, every excuted murderer, is one less person that believes the lies and half-truths published by AP and other news outlets. You'd have to be dead or brain-dead to read that rubbish anymore. The biggest casualty of all when it comes to the media has been reality.
