Daily Rant No. 1 Continued

Everyone that knows me knows that the media's sensationalization of the Abu Ghraib prison pictures really gets me stirred up. Objectively, can anyone honestly believe that the newspapers, the internet, and the tv networks bombarded us with front page headlines and photos for 28 straight days because they wanted to sell newspapers (or their respective media)? Are we so stupid that we can't see that the real motive in the 24/7 assault on our senses was to reinforce that we Americans are evil? Stacking up naked Iraqi prisoners is NOT AN ATROCITY! The results of our enterprising press's efforts is - Nick Berg's beheading and the subsequent kidnappings and murders of other Americans. The news media has more blood on its hands than some deathrow inmates. When you see the latest pictures of Paul Johnson, remember this: the news media is guilty of whipping our enemies up into a religious fervor and should be culpable in whatever happens to Paul Johnson next. And I have a very bad feeling that Paul Johnson won't be seen alive again. When this happens, the right thing to do is drag Dan Rather, Peter Jennings, et al out of their newsrooms and bring them before a war tribunal. These cretins are giving aid and comfort to our enemies and have a hand in getting Americans killed. Think about that the next time you pick up a newspaper or watch the evening news.
