29 States and Counting...

Booyah!!!

George W. Bush won - again! Despite the efforts of the mass liberal media, the Hollywood Leftists, the academia, well-heeled political donors, rabid 527's, France, Germany, and Osama bin Laden, Bush beat the snot out of John Kerry. Give the man another Purple Heart!

Even the Clintonistas couldn't save Kerry from his demise despite numerous October surprises and crooked exit polling. Truth has triumphed and I have renewed respect for my fellow citizens that turned out in record numbers to ensure our country's continued progress.

Despite the media refusing to admit defeat and his running mate, John Edwards, calling for recounts, John Kerry did the honorable thing and called President Bush to congratulate him and concede defeat. It may be the most honorably thing Kerry has ever done for the United States of America.

In Kerry's concession speech today however, he spoke of needing to heal the wounds that this nation has from this divisive campaign. While I agree that we need to move on, the only wounds that this country has are the ones that the Democrats created.

As you recall, the nation stood united after September 11th, 2001. Democrats and Republicans could hardly contain themselves with the sense of fraternity that the tragic event had fostered. Democrats even voted in favor of giving the President the authority to go to war. It wasn't until the campaign season began that the rift started. Suddenly, the nation's security was politicized and became the central issue of this election season.

Iraq is no Vietnam. Vietnam was never a direct threat to our country. Iraq was. The people of this country by a large margin understand that. Unfortunately for the Democrats, they didn't and they also underestimated the intelligence of the American people.

I will watch John Kerry to see if he keeps to his words. The American people have spoken and the mandate is that we stay the course. If Kerry and the rest of the Democrats want to heal the wounds, then they need stand shoulder to shoulder with the rest of us. And stop throwing salt.
