Atrocities!

I just saw the photos of the Iraqi prisoners that were being abused by the British soldiers and I have to say - BIG FREAKIN' DEAL!!!! That would, of course, be the same reaction I had to the Abu Ghraib photos. BIG FREAKIN' DEAL!!!!

Near as I can tell, none of those prisoners' heads had been separated from their shoulders. Maybe they got manhandled a little. Boo-hoo.

I remember seeing the "atrocities" of Abu Ghraib - I mean, captive Iraqi cheerleaders forming a human pyramid is a clearly an atrocity on the same level as infidels being liberated of their brain cases or hundreds of thousands of people being killed by a tsunami. Only an idiot wouldn't see the similarities...

To borrow a phrase overused by the Clintonistas, SO WHAT! SO FREAKIN' WHAT! I keep hearing about how this is against the Geneva Convention and how can we expect our servicemen to be treated in accordance with that treaty if we don't uphold it.

We do uphold the Geneva Convention. Painfully. However, the Geneva Convention only applies to the military of a sovereign government - someone that actually wears the uniform of an army. Somehow, that doesn't apply here because terrorists operate outside of sovereign nations and don't wear anyone's colors. So the Geneva Convention does not apply to terrorists.

The terrorists have made that abundantly clear. They don't subscribe to the Geneva Convention either. (Show me the paragraph that states that flying airliners into buildings and killing innocent, non-combatants is okay - or the paragraph that states that infidels get their heads chopped off - keep looking, it must be in there, right?)

Don't criminalize the actions of the defenders of freedom because you disagree with the war. So the Brits and our guys manhandled a few prisoners - so what! In my opinion, none of those filthy, camel-dung-encrusted, untermensch deserve any consideration by our troops. I say we hold public executions for them because they wear the uniform of no country and should be considered spies and saboteurs.

If the leftists and the media want to continue to vilify the soldiers for "abusing" terrorists, maybe we aren't abusing the right enemy. And maybe the media needs a wake-up call - 129 of them woke-up dead last year at the hands of the bad guys, not our troops. How many journalists must die before we take action against their killers?

What's an atrocity? That's a bus-load of terrorists going off a cliff with one empty seat. What's an equal atrocity? That would be a bus-load of leftist media types following the terrorist bus off the cliff with one empty seat. In other words, anymore, there is no difference.
