Liberal Lying Liars

All I've heard this week from the Senate confirmation hearings this week is that Condi Rice is a liar. And even though the good doctor has made it through the Senate committee hearings, she now must face more cross-examination from such pillars of virtue as Ted Kennedy, Robert Byrd, and Barbara Boxer.

Well, Tedward and Barbara have already grilled Condi for the better part of a week with a withering attack of slander that would crush lesser persons. But despite the ridiculous onslaught, Dr. Rice has been candid and poised.

Barbara Boxer has been especially spiteful. She obviously has nothing to lose since she is safe for six years, so the slanderous accusations have been flying.

Senator Boxer has claimed that Dr. Rice and the Bush Administration had deliberately misled the nation to go to war against Iraq. She stated that the sole reason for going to war was to remove the Weapons of Mass Destruction in Saddam's hands.

Barbara, Barbara, Barbara! You obviously didn't even read the declaration that the Senate signed back in 2002. The resolution actually stated, in addition to the claims of WMD, that the Senate authorized the President to use force because of Saddam's "brutal repression of its civilian population thereby threatening international peace and security in the region," and Saddam's refusal "to release, repatriate, or account for non-Iraqi citizens wrongfully detained by Iraq, including an American serviceman, and by failing to return property wrongfully seized by Iraq from Kuwait."

Okay, so we didn't find the WMD. Was it wrong for us to have done two out of the three things stated in the resolution? Why did we go to war against Germany in WWII? It wasn't to curb the Nazi's brutal repression of its civilian population thereby threatening international peace and security in the region. It wasn't even to liberate the Jews. We did it because it was the right thing to do. If the Tedwards, Grand Wizard Byrds, and Boxers were in power in 1941, all of Europe would be speaking German and potentially most of Barbara's Mother Russia.

Dr. Rice and the Administration based the decision to invade Iraq on the best available intelligence. Intelligence is rarely 100% accurate. Hindsight is 100% accurate. Don't be a Monday morning quarterback when it comes to national security. It rarely goes as planned.

Senator Boxer has stated that she would call Dr. Rice a liar again when the full Senate meets this week to vote on the doctor's confirmation. She claims that Dr. Rice has not been entirely candid and has been espousing half-truths.

Really?

Gee, Barbara, didn't you state that 25% of all the US casualties in Iraq have come from your state of California?

There have been. as of last week, 1400 US casualties in Iraq, with 157 of those from California. That's not 25%, Barbara, even using outcome based math. That works out to just over 11%, not even half of the claim you're making.

Now who's not being entirely candid and espousing half-truths? Why should we take anything that comes out of your big mouth as truth? Senator Boxer, I think you have just won the honor of the Sniper's Nest's first "Shut the Fuck Up" award.

Oh yeah, this past year was chock full of potential award-winners but I held off awarding it. And now I know why. Barbara Boxer is an embarassment to her constituents, a stark, raving lunatic, and a bald-face liar. Put it in 3-inch headlines on the front page - BARBARA BOXER IS A LIAR!!! The day has come when the mainstream media that has turned a blind eye to such shenanigans all these years can no longer ignore fabrications of this sort. Bloggers everywhere will call them on it.

I dare any newspaper in the country to point this glaring hypocrisy out. Boxer inflated California's war dead to slander Dr. Condoleeza Rice. There's no hindsight involved here. Boxer pulled a number out of her big ass and lied. And lied to make someone else look like a liar. Senator Boxer, you may as well just kiss Osama bin Laden on the lips. He's probably smiling at all you're doing for him.

Barbara, do us all a favor: go move in with Osama in his cave. You'd look a lot better in a burqaa.
